About Mosier, Oregon

History and Attractions

Mosier, Oregon is situated between Hood River and The Dalles on the Columbia River. Originally a stop on the Oregon Trail, Mosier’s population remains approximately a mere 500 people; if you are looking for a small town near large town amenities, Mosier is an ideal place to call home.

With warm and dry summers Mosier has access to some of the area’s best sports activities such as biking, hiking, camping, fishing, boating, and windsurfing.  Mosier is best known for its biking, waterfalls, cherry orchards, and vineyards. The Twin Tunnels Trail runs along the Historic Columbia River Highway, the path of the original highway since replaced by I-84. Mosier also offers several wineries with amazing views of the Columbia River Gorge. And don’t forget Mosier’s Farmers Market held June through September.
