COVID-19 UPDATE: How PEGGY HOAG REAL ESTATE is Preparing and Responding
As the coronavirus situation continues to evolve, we at PEGGY HOAG REAL ESTATE remain committed to supporting the health and safety of our clients, brokers and employees, while providing the most consistent level of service we can in these conditions. With that in mind, we have been closely monitoring the coronavirus developments and have taken appropriate steps to limit potential impacts to our employees, clients and operations. PEGGY HOAG REAL ESTATE has activated long-standing business continuity plans, which include following the appropriate guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).
Social Distancing and Work-at-Home Practices Implemented
We have implemented social distancing practices, including encouraging our employees to work remotely on our secure remote desktop connection. While some of our staff may be working from home, we remain focused on delivering the service and attention our clients have expected from us for over 29 years.
Adjustments to Closing Practices and Other Steps Taken
Beyond that, the company has also taken a number of other steps to help protect the health of our customers, our employees and the communities in which we operate, including:
- Making hand sanitizer available in our office
- Wiping down our conference room table and chairs after each meeting
- Providing new pens for each signing and encouraging clients to keep the pens
- Asking that non-essential parties refrain from attending meetings
- Promoting best practices for personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness to employees
- Restricting non-essential travel
- Directing any employee with symptoms of illness to stay home.
Adapting to Government Recording Office Closures
We are actively monitoring the status of government recording offices around the country in order to determine if office closures will impact the ability to record documents for pending transactions. Where the closing of government offices is impacting pending transactions, we are working closely with our title company and clients to enable transactions to move forward with appropriate title insurance coverage, and with as little disruption as possible. PEGGY HOAG REAL ESTATE will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation and will adjust our actions and processes as necessary.
Committed to Meeting Customer Needs – Check Back for Updates
We will update this web page as appropriate. PEGGY HOAG REAL ESTATE remains committed to doing all we can during this difficult time to meet our clients’ needs and promote practices that help protect our employees and those we serve. Whether our people are working from home at the office or meeting clients in their homes, our clients’ best interests and business remains top of mind. Thank you for all you’ve entrusted with us.
